2011 Water Quality Report
The City of Bloomington Water Department is distributing it's ninth annual water quality report, known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), to customers in their June water bills or by direct mail. The CCR lists the quality of the City's water for 2011 as compared to the drinking water standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The requirement for public water purveyors to provide customers with a list of regulated substances detected in their water was part of the 1996 reauthorization of the Safe Drinking Water Act; however, the Department has always made its water quality records available to its customers.
For more information about water quality or the CCR, customers should contact Rick Twait, Superintendent of Water Purification at (309) 434-2152.
The City of Bloomington Water Department serves more than 80,000 McLean County residents in the City of Bloomington, around Lake Bloomington, the Village of Hudson, the Village of Towanda, Bloomington Township Public Water District, the Crestwicke area as well as surrounding unincorporated areas.
