Recreation Internships

The Bloomington Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department works with universities to offer internships in recreation, therapeutic recreation, cultural arts, or a related field. Internships can be with a specific division or general in nature. Our qualified and professional staff will help students understand the daily operation of a parks & recreation department. An internship with Bloomington Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts will help a student improve their knowledge and skills in preparation for a career in recreation.

Internships are also available with S.O.A.R. (Special Opportunities Available in Recreation). Contact Nicole Kohler at nkohler@cityblm.org or 309-434-2260 if you are interested in an internship with S.O.A.R.
