History

Highland Park Golf CourseHighland Park Golf Course
The City of Bloomington's first venture into the golf business was Highland Park Golf Course. Built in the 1930's, this golf course offers old, mature trees lining each fairway - making accuracy an absolute must on the 5,539 yard course. In addition to the narrow fairways, small greens make for a challenging round. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 66.9 and 111, respectively. A hilly terrain with a beautiful creek meandering through the course make this a very scenic golf course.

Highland Park Golf Course has served as the host course for the Illinois High School Association's Girls State Championship. Golf Digest Places to Play has given Highland Park a 3 Star Rating. You are challenged to find a better value than that of Highland Park.  The full-line Golf Shop carries a great selection of golf equipment and apparel at discount prices. We look forward to seeing you at Highland Park.

The Den at Fox CreekThe Den at Fox Creek
The Den at Fox Creek became the City of Bloomington's third golf course when it opened on August 1, 1997. This Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course measures 6,926 yards from the Palmer Tees and 5,345 yards from the Forward Tees. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 72.9 and 128, respectively. Bentgrass tees, greens and fairways compliment the Wild Prairie Grasses which grow in the rough to make a picturesque Scottish Links Style golf course. The course features 131 strategically placed sand traps, making the extremely wide fairways even more attractive. Water hazards are located on 9 of the 18 holes.

Other amenities include an extremely large practice putting green, a large practice chipping green (with practice sand bunker) and a very large grass driving range with several target greens. A full-line Golf Shop offers golf equipment and apparel at discount prices. The Den at Fox Creek has become the host golf course for the Illinois High School Association's Class AA Boys State Championships.  Mr. Palmer himself shot 74 during his Grand Opening Round. Can you beat it?  The Den at Fox Creek is a Golf Digest “Places to Play” 4 ½ - Star Golf Course.
